Formation: Circle of 8 - 10 couples, ladies on right of partner

Music: 32 bar single jigs, (suggested tune Widgegoara Joe, starting with chorus)

Introduction

Ladies join hands, Circle Left and Right as Men walk clockwise outside the circle

(Ladies are shearers first time through, Men have sheepish role)

Ladies choose a partner and swing

(The shearing process)

Promenade anticlockwise around circle

Reform circle, all advance and retire

4

Advance and Ladies Retire

(Shearers drop sheep down chute)

Repeat with roles reversed each time and with different partners.
